Got it to-go....So I'm keeping this review strictly about the sushi I ordered. 1) California Roll - Good. This is my "go to" for determining if a place has good sushi. Why? It's extremely simple to make. Even I can make a good one at home. So if a sushi place can't make this, it's a good sign that the place is awful. 2) Hawaiian Roll - This was the best roll I had. I definitely recommend... Nice flavor, not too heavy. Go with this one if you can't decide. 3) Tuna Avocado Roll - Meh. The tuna in this wasn't great. The tuna had nice coloring, just not a ton of flavor. This is the reason why I gave the place 4, and not 5, stars. 4) Sakura Roll - This was a strange one. Think of it like a roll covered in a Chinese seafood stir-fry. Sound weird? It is. This roll wasn't bad, and wasn't really great. Very middle of the road, but worth a try. $17 is a little pricey, but it's worth trying once. I'll definitely go back and eat in the restaurant. It was good, not stellar.

Location- where Costa Vida used to be. Ambiance- very nice. Great for a date night, but the kids were comfortable there too. Service- excellent! They just opened the day we were there, and were very excited for our business. Food- great! The best sushi I've had in this area of OKC. Fresh and nice servings for a good price. The krab and seaweed salad is very tasty. We also ordered the sashimi tuna, salmon plate, sweet and sour chicken, several rolls, and all were great! Go ahead and try it out for yourself, but guaranteed, I will be coming back again.

I gave this place a second try and it was even more disappointing than the first. It was just OK. I've definitely been to better sushi bars and the hibachi is TERRIBLE!!!! I'm assuming if you're from Oklahoma you think this place might be great but I promise you I've tasted much better sushi and hibachi. A bit of advice to the cooks there soy sauce is not enough to bring out the flavor in the meat smh never again
(2)Jason L.
Excellent place. The workers are very friendly. The decor is simply and clean, not overdone like some other places in OKC. We sat at the hibachi bar and had a great dining experience. Chicken and scallops go great with a refreshing Asahi. We also ordered some rolls that were delicious. If you've never had hibachi before please come here! Nothing like freshly grilled food cooked right in front of you and getting it served right away. You can also order online for take out or have the food ready to eat when you get there. Good for time management. A 5 star restaurant is a place that I would look forward to come back to. This place is on that list.

Have been here a few times. Great sushi place, Hawaiian roll is my favorite (Yes, its mango. Yes, its awesome). Bento boxes are pretty good, nice variety and the hibachi is really good too- the chef was very entertaining (watch out for flying egg...). Staff is super friendly and the place is always clean- can't recommend enough.
(5)Jeff B.
Absolutely delicious! This is my second time back in three days and both times were fantastic. The rolls weren't loaded with mayo like most places in OKC; they keep it fresh and simple with a fantastic variety of unique sushi rolls. The Hawaiian roll is hands down my favorite, don't visit without trying it, and the sushi sandwich is just awesome.
(5)Erin M.
Perfection! Prices are right. Sushi is great, and having hibachi as well makes it great to bring others who might be hesitant for sushi. Very fresh, clean, and delicious of course. Comfortable environment, very similar to other sushi places in the area. I will be back. Wonderful experience.

This place is amazing! The best sushi I've had in a long time! I had the Hawaiian Roll without the masago (personal preference) and the mango on the roll was so delicious! Then I had a Captain Crunch Roll which was also very good. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. This is now my go to spot for great sushi!

Coming to Oklahoma City on business, I wanted to find a local sushi joint to try. Headed over to Yelp and found Sakura. I arrived a little later in the evening, but was pleasantly greeted and seated. After ordering the miso soup arrived, which had a welcome change of taste. Something almost like a hint of white wine (and delicious!). The salad was fresh and Bento box prepared with more than enough for this fella. A great experience. I'll definitely be back!

Came in for hibachi on a Sunday afternoon. The inside looks much nicer than I expected. (Wasn't this a bookstore before?) Wait staff was friendly and attentive. I'm currently on a restrictive diet and asked for no rice and extra veggies instead. They happily accommodated this. The hibachi chef forgot/didn't realize I requested no rice and gave me some anyways. No biggie, my boyfriend would eat it anyways. The waiter said there were extra veggies as well, he just did the normal thing with the rice. Anyways, I didn't get charged for extra veggies! I was kinda surprised. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back. The only reason I can think for not giving it 5 stars was the chef seemed kinda quiet/nervous, but I honestly just get hibachi because I love the food. The show is just extra.

I went here with my wife for my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised. Good, fresh food, at a fair price. Excellent service and friendly staff. The owner spoke to us for awhile and he was very professional. Check this place out if you're in the mood for a great dining experience.
(5)Jeff A.
Great new sushi and hibachi restaurant located on the south side of Memorial Road. I've been here three times and I've been pleased each time. The rolls are always fresh and presented beautifully. They also have hibachi, although I have yet to try it, I really like sushi; maybe the next time. Come give it a try and see for yourself.
(4)K G.
Loved it! We yelped sushi and this place came up. Went for lunch and I got the crunchy roll sushi and hubby got bento box teriyaki steak. Both were fantastic! The steak was cooked medium rare and had awesome flavor. The staff were super nice and welcoming. Will be back soon!
(5)Makai H.
One of the only 2 sushi bars in town I'll frequent on a regular basis. This is a relatively new restaurant. I started coming here since their grand opening and have been impressed since. I once ordered a ton of sushi and hibachi for a party to go and amazingly, they got the orders right and everything was fresh and tasty. Good variety of rolls to choose from and their hibachi dishes are second to none.
(5)Nima C.
We can not say it is bad. It is just not authentic. It is not cook by Japanese people. So.
(3)Bruce B.
This is a great hidden gem. The sushi is great and the staff is very friendly. The price is also very good.
(5)Shawna H.
Best sushi in North OKC Edmond area! I am a avid sushi lover and I choose this place everytime. Give it a try you'll be glad you did.
(5)Robin M.
An excellent dining experience! We've tried numerous hibachi and sushi restaurants in the OKC metro area, and this place ranks at the top of our list. The hibachi meals are delicious, the sushi is fresh and savory, food portions are substantial and reasonably priced, and you can expect prompt and attentive service.
(5)Lauren T.
Not blown away. I stopped in for a little hibachi one day, and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't...great. Maybe I'm being too harsh because the other reviews seem to disagree with me, but I think there are much better places in OKC for hibachi and/or sushi. I didn't try their sushi, but they seemed to have a good selection. The service was ok, but again, not great. Maybe I'll give this place another chance and see if I just caught them on an "off" day.
(3)Shelley F.
Being a sushi connoisseur and living in Oklahoma seems a little counterintuitive- until you try Sakura. Admittedly, we've tried every joint in OKC and we had our favorites up until we stumbled upon this place when craving sushi on a Sunday (thanks, fellow yelpers!). We rank this up with the sushi we've found on the coasts, and we've been back 3 times in the short couple of months it has been open. The ambience is nice, but not overdone. You can easily get a decent bottle of yellowtail for $20. The service is prompt and friendly. The fish tastes incredibly fresh. Our favorite rolls are the Amazing Roll and Fire Island. We've also tried (and loved) the tomo roll, the philly roll, the yummy roll, the spicy tuna roll and the ahi tuna entree (it was not a roll- it was served over rice and avocado). I'm salivating as I type.
(5)Amanda H.
My boyfriend took me here for a nicer date night, and it was an awesome dining experience! I had never eaten hibachi before, and the show was great! We opted for the hibachi dinner for two, including steak shrimp, and chicken, along with fried rice and veggies. That dish was enough for both of us to take a big to-go box home!! Their creamy ginger sauce was awesome...according to our server, they sell it by the cup! I'll definitely keep this place in mind next time I'm in OKC!
(5)Renee M.
Had the chicken Teriyaki Bento box and it was incredibly amazing. I'm not normally a Teriyaki person but if it always tasted this good it would be all I ever ate. Not the traditional salty flavor but very sweet and smooth. You get a lot of food and it's all delicious!
(5)Jules J.
BEST SUSHI IN OKC BY FAR!!!!! We moved here from Seattle and thought we were doomed when it came to our sushi date nights - we have tried every sushi restaurant in OKC and we were so disappointed every time. So we decided to give Sakura a try and we are so glad we did! The quality and freshness was outstanding ; the rolls were not just pumped full of mayonnaise and crab meat (compared to every other place in OKC). Needless to say, we will be back every week! The hibachi grill was going on in the background, looked absolutely amazing and and the chefs were putting on quite the show ! I will definitely give that a try next time we come. Service was excellent ! Compliments to the chef and cheers to the staff !
(5)Toby J.
Had the tuna tartar for an app, crunchy delicious.. then a salmon, tuna and crab roll. Everything was above average. Based on my experience, I would recommend it.
(4)Micheal S.
Loved the resurant, great place to eat and great staff. For the price you are paying its an amazing place to have lunch. Compared to other sushi in Oklahoma, I'd rank this one 4 out of 5.
